St. Martin Parish Government, through its Community Health Service has three goals regarding health care for the population:

  • Increase the span of healthy life

  • Reduce health disparities

  • Achieve access to preventive services

In order to reach these goals, health care services are provided for the citizens of St. Martin Parish at the above two locations.

St. Martin Parish Government operates the Breaux Bridge Health Unit and the Cecilia Health Unit and follows Louisiana Department of Health and Hospital guidelines and USDA federal guidelines.  In addition, the State of Louisiana, Office of Public Health, provides the same services at

Immunization Clinic (available for infants, children, and adults)

Breaux Bridge Health Unit         Friday    8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Cecilia Health Unit            Wednesday    8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

No appointments needed for these services.  There is a $10.00 administrative charge if the patient does not have the Medicare or Medicaid card.

These services are available by appointment. 

The WIC program has nutritional and income guidelines.  Kidmed medical screening services are available to infants and children (up to 21 years of age) who are eligible for Medicaid. There are fees for some Child Health services that include medical screenings for infants and children.
